Three for the price of one!

Friday, Saturday and Sunday...not a lot to report, so you get all three in one post!

There's just not much to Friday night, which for me is great, because between on-demand and DVR, I've got a lot to catch up on this night.

Only two new shows. Gordon Ramsay has Masterchef Junior, where it seems having youngsters cook is the new go-to reality show idea (if Guy and Rachel can do it on the Food Network, well, there you go!). As I spend my days with 11-13 year-olds, I don't think I can stomach spending Friday night with them too. (However, the young cheftestants make him cry, which, considering I feel like crying virtually all the time with the youth of America makes total sense--)

And NBC has Dracula--it is only a 10-episode TV show (at this point). Jonathan Rhys Meyers  (The Tudors, but I prefer to think of him from Bend it like Beckham) is Dracula. It is based on the original Bram Stoker, and the description says that Dracula is ready to unleash a can of whoop@$$ on Victorian England when he sees/meets a woman who reminds him of his true love, so maybe not so much.

I know nothing, really, about any of the shows that are returning. All I have to note is that Hawaii 5-0 is now on Fridays at 9, followed by Blue Bloods. My dad will be super happy. (Not for nothing, so will we.)

A quick note to Sally: Grimm returns October 25. (I still don't watch. Too scary. I know, weird considering I liked Sleepy Hollow.).

Also, I'm a little shocked that America's Next Top Model is still on the air.

Saturday. Absolutely. Nothing. On. This. Night.
My only suggestion to the TV programmers would be to have a set rotation for what they repeat on Saturday nights.

Which brings us to Sunday:

The only new show is Betrayal, which has Stuart Townsend (no relation to Pete of The Who, but in a weird coincidence, his father is Peter, a professional golfer; also, he did date Charlize Theron for a long time) as one of the two recognizable people in it. The other belongs to Henry Thomas...yes...that Henry Thomas from E.T. Now, sadly, I can't figure out how to explain the premise, so I will copy and paste from TVLine.com: A beautiful but unhappily married female photographer begins a torrid affair with a lawyer for a powerful family. When he turns out to be defending a murder suspect who is being prosecuted by her husband, the relationship and the case begin a spiraling series of betrayals with cataclysmic results for everyone involved. Also known, as the show that is going to try and be like Revenge, without being Revenge, and has sexy people doing sexy things in it. I predict it won't last long.

Speaking of Revenge, they allege that it will be less convoluted this year. We shall see. I'm not giving it long to find out.

Finally, everyone's Sunday night favorite, The Good Wife returns with Alicia having chosen her man--Cary and their own law firm. Should make for a great season!
