It's baaaaaaaaaaack.....

It is that time of year again! Time to talk TV and the fall TV season...Let's jump into Monday night of the fall 2016 season!

Don’t forget, I’m incredibly biased. I’ll try to watch everything at some point, but believe it or not, I don’t watch as much TV as I used to. Shocking, I know.

Ruh-roh...when you use your blog spot only once a year, updates seems to make it hard for me to be cool and show you the Monday schedule in total. Let me try again....

Okay, maybe that will work.

Or not. I can’t figure out why it won’t. Balls.

Here’s what I know, besides the fact that there are only three new shows this night.

There isn’t a lot of change. Sure, Supergirl changed networks and Scorpion moved to 10, but other than that, not huge change.

ABC. Dancing with Stars. It premiered last week and they are probably getting a bit of bump with Ryan Lochte on the cast. I predict the other Olympian will win.

NEW: Conviction is about a former first daughter who is attempting to avoid jail  for a cocaine bust by using her lawyer smarts to join the New York DA’s “Conviction Integrity Unit, which investigates potentially erroneous incarcerations.” She’s a bit of a smartass with a bad attitude, and the people she’s working with don’t exactly get along with her. Stars the gal who played Agent Peggy Carter on the show of the same name. Looks moderately interesting. I know, I’m selling it hardcore here.

CBS. Scorpion moves to 10 p.m. Other than that, comedies. Speaking of which, Kevin James, aka the King of Queens, and Matt LeBlanc, Joey from Friends are back in the house.

NEW: Kevin Can Wait has Kevin James starring as a retired cop who realizes life at home is harder than life on the streets. He must not be watching the news as much. Hilarity ensues from familial hijinx. Joey Tribianni is back on TV as a contractor who stays at home once his wife returns to work. He discovers his kids are the worst and builds a safe room to hide from them. Just kidding on that last part, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens. Because sitcoms are often predictable. That being said, with those two names, people are bound to watch. I know I will.

CW. Supergirl moved networks and got a revamped look; I liked the first season. Jane is still a virgin going into season 3, but since she was married at the end of season 2, I don’t see that lasting too much longer. Em and I binge watched on Hulu this summer.

Fox. They are dark on Mondays. Meaning dark Gotham and dark Lucifer. I must confess, I haven’t seen Lucifer yet. I’m in the dark on this one. Other than he’s Lucifer.

NBC. I’m switching my allegiance to The Voice, now that I can’t watch American Idol. Plus, maybe it was all the hours I logged in with Hannah Montana, but I’m excited for Miley to join the judge’s chairs. Couple that with Alicia Keyes and the bromance, and I’m willing to give up my Mondays.

NEW: The peacock is giving up Timeless, which has a band of time traveler’s going through, well, time, chasing after a bad guy who is trying to muck up history. This is a big budget extravaganza—should get some major views and if done well will hold on.

Holly’s verdict: I think things will largely stay the same as far as shows for the year on this night. ABC will really push Conviction, but I doubt it’s staying power. If Timeless gets too expensive, then NBC will let it go or move it to the Sci-Fi channel. CBS likes their Monday block of comedies, so I see them enjoying their new rotation. Kevin James is getting the most buzz on this night.
